VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are always appreciated and welcomed at SACFS. There are many opportunities to assist the program such as:

  • Volunteering in the classroom, the kitchen or on trips
  • Participating in the planning and implementation of center-related activities
  • Serving as a Board member or as part of the Policy Committee
  • Providing special expertise to the management team
  • Teaching a special skill to parents (sewing, typing, computer training, cooking)
  • Providing music, art or dance classes to the children in the program
  • Reading a story to the children

DONATE

Although SACFS is a federally-funded program, yearly budget cuts have made it very challenging for us to meet the basic needs of the program and, in some instances, have forced us to eliminate some of our special program offerings. We continuously strive to offer the best quality services to the children and families we serve. With your help, we can overcome the obstacles!

Financial Donations

Financial donations are used towards purchasing classroom supplies, books and equipments or to contribute towards maintaining one of our special programs.

If you would like to make a financial donation, please make checks payable to SACFS and send to:

Tolu Oluwole, Director
Seventh Avenue Center for Family Services
1646 Montgomery Avenue
Bronx, NY 10453

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations may either be a service provided (volunteering in the classroom, pro bono work) or a non-financial donation (supplies, equipment, books).
